First stats: 6/6 to 6/26 2011

So, here's my first post with some stats... after a two-week porn first position, it's clear now that translation sites are the most used. Maybe translation tools from Chrome are not the best ones... I personally find them annoying, every time time Chrome suggests to translate a full page... I only used that twice, on Japanese and Russian sites :P

Ok, it's been 33 installs to date. The extension has been loaded 2.100+ times, but only a 13% of the times a link has been clicked. Is that good? Can't tell.

Here's the site's most used.

  2. Hi lufthelfer, thanks for using my extension and the feedbak!
I'm sorry to hear your settings are reset every time Click and Clean runs... I don't really know Click and Clean that much, but as far as I could read, it delete's your browsing history and probably cookies. My extension saves your setting using localStorage, and Chrome saves that on a specific cookie...
Reading this (http://www.hotcleaner.com/clickclean_chrome_help.html), maybe there's a way to configure Click & Clean to spare your localStoreage?

If not, maybe I can help you find the location of this cookie, and you can back it up once you've configured all your settings... Then you'll have to restore it every time you open Chrome... sounds like too much work!! :P

Maybe when I get to implement Cloud Sync, and save all config on the cloud, your problems will disappear.... It will take me a while, tho.

In the meantime, let me know if C&C lets you spare local storage... I might also think of implementing a quick export/import for your config... so at leas configuring it will be much faster :)

    Thanks again!

  3. I was thinking, maybe modify the script and make my settings the default. :)

I looked in the chrome-devtools but I do not know how it works.

  5. Good, its a start, thank you.
How do you change the script? I think it's easier the way you did.
I have a list of things i like:
btjunkie, bing, open subtitles pt-br, urban dictionary, google translate.
But this is for the next update.
    Very thank you!

  6. What I did was changing the default search engines... all new users will have that set of search engines by default.

I can see that some of the Search Engines from the list you mention are already included on the Featured Search Engines list (you can look for them and double click to have them added to your list).

If you want, you can send me the missing ones -like bing, btjunkie and open subtitles) and I'll add them to the featured list so you can easily find them...
I'll also add a Google Translate link for Portuguese ;)

    Have fun.
